Iraqi-born, New Zealand-raised artist WHO SHOT SCOTT has released his contagious new single ‘LIL BIT OF HOT’. It’s an angsty, dynamic blend of hip-hop, rap and punk, with an underlying sense of explorative experimentation running throughout his sound. The end result is a punchy mixture of wobbly, warm synths and distorted guitars, with his raw, intense vocal performance sitting at the top. On the track’s lyrics, he says: “At the time, I had just gotten out of what I considered to be an extremely toxic relationship and was still weirdly attached to the false ideas and habits that had been ingrained in my psyche as a result.” Keep an eye out for more from the multi-talented artist. -Dan Peeke
